Office Assistant (Part-Time)

Compensation

We are offering a compensation of $15-20/hr depending on skills and experience.

Work hours are approximately 9 hours/week and could be more, depending on need.

Preferred hours are: 1-4pm (Tue, Wed, Thu).

Summary of duties/responsibilities

As a part-time adminstrative assistant, you will provide administrative support to the company personnel, e.g. check office phone messages, return calls and document as needed, filing and archiving information, make appointments, get lunch, run errands, etc. You will also provide meeting and conference coordination, e.g. coordinate business meetings, arrange interviews, etc. You will also provide communications support, e.g. making updates to Web sites, update project documents, update presentations, etc.

Skills required

  • Local to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Candidate must be able to work on premises. Telecommuting is NOT an option.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • At least one year of college
  • Internet savvy. Very comfortable using: Gmail, Google, etc.
  • Experience updating Web and HTML
  • Proficiency in MS Windows
  • Proficiency in MS Office products:
    • MS Word
    • MS PowerPoint
    • MS Excel
    • MS Publisher

Skills preferred

  • Ability to learn new applications quickly
  • Prior experience in an administrative role
  • Some experience in social media: Twitter, Facebook, etc.
