The Greatest Year In Golf
"Byron Nelson accomplished things on the pro tour that never have been and never will be approached again," said Arnold Palmer. When asked to rate Nelson's 1945 season, Tiger Woods replied, "Winning 11 in a row ... do you realize how good you have to play? You're going to have one bad week in there, but his bad week he still won by probably, three, four, five shots?" Close. Nelson won by at least two strokes.1
To help the Salesmanship Club of Dallas manage and run the Championship, Innovative Way developed an automated volunteer registration system that could be placed on the corporate EDS website, so that volunteer workers can sign up, pick their schedules, and order uniforms online. Leveraging the same technology, Innovative Way developed an automated media registration system, so that journalists from around the world can apply for media credentials online. The two systems eliminated the need for the manual and labor-intensive paper forms, helping to make running and coordinating the Championship easier. "We are honored to be able to provide our services to EDS and the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and to help commemorate Byron Nelson's great achievement," said John Way, president of Innovative Way.
